When to water my lawn?

“What’s the best time to water my lawn?”
This is THE most common question I get in the course of my Landscaping business. Whether programming the sprinkler system or posting up with a hose everyone who has a lawn must answer this question.

If you want to provide the premium experience for your grass you’ll need to wake up early because, the absolute best time to water your turf is during the morning hours of 5am-8am. Earlier in shady areas, later in sunny areas. Each section of the lawn should receive 10-15 minutes of watering every day.

By keeping the turf roots moist and cool during the hottest part of the day this minimizes the stress on the grass and encourages growth and thickness.

Do your best to keep a regular watering schedule. As strange as it sounds, your grass knows and will appreciate it.
